About Ellipse Solar

A solar company from Jaipur, working across Dausa and Sawai Madhopur.

Ellipse Solar is a solar EPC company. In plain words: we do the whole job. We visit your site, design the system, supply the panels and inverter, install everything, file the subsidy and net-metering papers and look after the plant once it is running.

We started about a year and a half ago. Our customers are homeowners, shop and factory owners, and farmers in Jaipur, Dausa and Sawai Madhopur districts. Most of them found us through someone we had already installed for.

What we install

Four kinds of work, one team doing all of it.

Rooftop solar for homes

For independent houses, villas and floors with their own roof. The system is sized from your electricity bill and your roof, not a fixed package. Most homes go on-grid with net metering, so extra power from the day goes to the grid and comes off your bill.

Eligible homes can get the central government rooftop subsidy. We handle the whole application. How subsidy works

Ask about solar for your home

Rooftop solar for shops, offices, schools and factories

Businesses use most of their power in the daytime, when the panels are producing. That is why commercial rooftops often pay back faster than homes. We look at your load, sanctioned connection and roof, then size a system that fits.

Ask about solar for your business

On-grid, off-grid or hybrid: which one do you need?

This is the first question most people ask us. Here is the short answer.

SystemBest forBatteryIn a power cutNet meteringCost
On-gridHomes and businesses with a regular connection who want a lower billNoSwitches off for safetyYesLowest
Off-gridPlaces with no grid connection, or a very weak oneYesKeeps running from batteryNoHigher (batteries)
HybridHomes and shops with frequent power cuts that need backupYesKeeps running from batteryYesHighest

If your main goal is a lower electricity bill and cuts are rare, on-grid is almost always the right choice. Not sure? Send us a photo of your bill and tell us how often the power goes. We'll tell you honestly.

Solar size calculator

How big a system do you need?

Enter the units (kWh) from your electricity bill. We'll show the system size that covers them, how many panels it takes, how much it will generate and how much roof it needs.

Here, 1 kW of panels makes about 4.5 units a day on average. Real output changes with the season, dust, shade and panel angle. We confirm the exact size at the site survey. This calculator does not show prices. Those depend on your roof and the brands you choose.

My bill is for

Look for "units consumed" or "kWh". Summer bills run higher, so an average of a few bills is best.

Why Ellipse Solar

Big brands spend on ads. We spend on your roof.

The large national solar companies run TV ads, apps and sales teams in every city. All of that is paid for by the customer, inside the quote.

We are a local company. The person who surveys your roof is from our own team, not an agent. You can visit our Jaipur office, call us, or message us on WhatsApp and get an answer from someone who knows your system.

The Ellipse Solar team

  • Quick service

We reply on WhatsApp the same day and visit your site within 1–2 business days. A home rooftop is installed within 2–3 days of payment.

  • Honest, fair pricing

One written quote with every item, brand and size listed. No surprise charges later for structure, wiring or net-meter work.

  • We handle everything

Survey, design, supply, installation, subsidy papers, loan papers and the net meter. You don't have to go to any office yourself.

  • After-sales that picks up the phone

For farmers

PM-KUSUM solar pumps: water for your fields from the sun.

PM-KUSUM is a government scheme that helps farmers set up solar water pumps. A solar pump runs on sunlight during the day, so you don't pay for diesel and don't wait for the farm power supply.

What we provide

  • Solar pumps from 2 HP to 7.5 HP
  • Submersible pumps for borewells, and surface pumps for open wells and tanks
  • Solar panels and mounting structure, sized for the pump
  • Pump controller with mobile app monitoring: see how your pump is running from your phone
  • The complete system, installed and ready to run

The steps

  1. Call or WhatsApp us with your village, land details and water source (borewell or open well).
  2. Keep these ready: Aadhaar card, PAN card, electricity bill (if you have one), location of your field, email ID and mobile number.
  3. We apply for you under the PM-KUSUM scheme and follow it up.
  4. After approval, we install the pump, panels and controller on your field.
  5. We show you how to run it and how to use the mobile app, and stay on call for service.

Scheme rules and the farmer's share are set by the government and can change. We'll tell you the current rules when you contact us.

Subsidy, finance and warranty

The money questions, answered straight.

Subsidy

Homes can get a central government subsidy for rooftop solar under the PM Surya Ghar scheme, if they qualify. We give full support from start to end: we check your eligibility, fill the application and follow it up until the subsidy reaches you.

Net metering

Net metering lets you send extra daytime power to the grid and have it adjusted in your bill. We file the application with JVVNL and are present for the inspection. The net meter is usually installed in about 15 days.

EMI and loans

Pay in EMIs. We arrange the loan through government and private banks at around 6% interest, and handle the paperwork end to end.

The final rate is set by the bank and depends on your eligibility.

Warranty

30 years panel warranty and system life.

5-year warranty on our installation work. Inverter warranty as per the manufacturer, usually 8–12 years.

Electricity paperwork? We sort that out too.

Before solar, many bills and connections need fixing. We handle it for you:

  • Name correction on Aadhaar, PAN or electricity bill
  • Connection transfer to your name
  • Load extension
  • Phase change (single phase to three phase)
  • Other JVVNL connection services

Questions

What people in Rajasthan ask us most.

Don't see yours? Ask us on WhatsApp.

How much does rooftop solar cost?

It depends on the system size, your roof and the panel and inverter brands you choose. We give you a written quote after seeing your site, and the site visit is free. To get an idea of the size you need, use the solar calculator above. EMI is available.

Is there a government subsidy for my home?

Yes. Homes with their own electricity connection can apply for the central government rooftop subsidy under PM Surya Ghar, if they meet the rules. The amount is fixed by the government and depends on system size. We check if you qualify and handle the full application for you. Shops and factories do not get this home subsidy.

How much roof space do I need?

Each 600 W panel is about 8 ft × 4 ft. With a little spacing, 1 kW needs roughly 55 sq ft of shadow-free roof. A 3 kW system (5 panels) needs about 170 sq ft. Water tanks, stair rooms and nearby buildings can cast shade, so we check this at the survey.

How long does it take?

We visit within 1–2 business days of your message. Installation takes 2–3 days after payment. JVVNL then inspects the system and installs the net meter, usually in about 15 days. We follow it up for you.

How long will the system last?

Panels come with a 30-year warranty, and a well-installed system runs for 30 years. That is why all our generation numbers are worked out over 30 years. Our own installation work has a 5-year warranty.

Does solar work in the monsoon and on cloudy days?

Yes, but it makes less power. On cloudy days output drops; it does not stop completely. Sizing uses a yearly average, so sunny months make up for cloudy ones. Rain also washes the dust off the panels.

What about dust? How often should panels be cleaned?

Dust is the main reason panels in Rajasthan make less power. Clean them at least once every 2 months, and after a dust storm. Use plain water, early in the morning or in the evening when the panels are cool. Do not use soap powder or hard brushes.

Will I have power during a power cut?

With an on-grid system, no. It switches off automatically during a cut, for the safety of line workers. If you need power during cuts, choose a hybrid or off-grid system with a battery.

Will installation damage my roof or cause leaks?

No. We fix the structure with chemical anchors and fasteners, then build a concrete base for it. The structure holds firm, and your roof stays sealed.
